How often is Essential Forms updated?

The Judicial Council typically issues major form updates twice a year, effective on January 1st and September 1st. We distribute software updates via email to all paid subscribers, timed to arrive before the forms become effective. The Essential Forms software is automatically updated when additional form changes are issued outside of these January/September effective dates. Local forms updates are distributed via automatic software update when we are notified that the county has made form changes.
