Is the Desktop machine connected to a share network folder? Is so, either someone has files locked open and the updater is stuck in a loop or an incomplete set of automatic forms updates were pushed out to this network.

The easiest way to fix this issue of constant notifications for "updates are ready" popping up:

1. ) Get all the users out of the Essential Forms program. Relaunch EF on one computer and see if it opens and follow the prompts to install the updates. Close and reopen the program to see if that Updates are Ready message continues. If it does, try #2

2.) Open File Explorer and root-down to where the "Data" folder is for Essential Forms. If your not sure you can always launch the program click Configure>Data Directory, the path in that "Select Data Directory window is the location for your Data folder. Close the program.

Open the Data folder you will see a “FormsModules” folder.

Inside the “FormsModules" folder you should only have the "Archive" folder and no files directly below it.

See if you have a bunch of update files like JCForms, NONJC, etc. directly below the Archive folder (not inside it).

If you do have files sitting below Archive, go ahead and delete (right-click and "delete") the orphan files directly below "Archive". Leave the one's inside the "Archive" folder alone. Close that File Explorer window.

With everyone out of the program, launch Essential Forms.

Right-click on the Essential Forms Updater down by the clock in the system tray in the lower right (may be hidden under that little up arrow) and click “Check For Updates” which forces the Updater to run. Let it cycle.

Then restart Essential Forms to install everything. It may take a few minutes to relay the new forms module files to the computer. You should get one more pop-up that "Updates are Ready" and allow this one through one last time. Follow the instructions to close and reopen the program. See if that resolves the constant updates notice.
