Q. Why was this acquisition made?

A. This acquisition joins together two of California’s most trusted and authoritative providers of California legal research and continuing legal education. Attorney's BriefCase’s attorney-curated family law coverage and unique bench-to-bar CLE collection is the perfect complement to CEB’s library of attorney-authored practical guidance.

Q. What are the benefits of this acquisition for customers?

A. This acquisition is a huge plus for our customers, particularly those practicing in or adjacent to family law. Our acquisition of Attorney’s BriefCase makes CEB the largest seminar provider for family law in California and provides additional rich, curated family case law content. Customers will receive these additional benefits:

Expanded family law resources: Access Attorney’s BriefCase curated family law case law coverage and CLE as part of CEB’s platform of unparalleled legal research, practical guidance, news, and education.

Be in the know: You'll have early opportunities to register for premier learning, including the acclaimed Family Law Bootcamp Series and the Annual Family Law Seminar CLE, developed by Garrett Dailey.

More expert insights: Benefit from Mr. Dailey’s experience and expertise as he helps ensure continuity and depth of family law offerings.

Q. How will this acquisition align with the company’s mission and values?

A. CEB’s mission is to help you confidently navigate the intricate and ever-evolving California legal system, empowering you to deliver superior outcomes with less time and effort. The acquisition of Attorney’s BriefCase makes CEB the largest seminar provider for family law in California and provides additional rich, curated family case law content.

Q. Will the current products/services I use be affected?

A. The available products and services will expand. Attorney’s BriefCase is recognized across the state for its annual family law year-in-review and family law bootcamp MCLE courses, which will be added to our portfolio of MCLE courses. In the longer term the content from Attorney’s BriefCase legal research software also will be integrated into CEB’s research system. Otherwise, we will continue to offer the same breadth and depth of products and services.

Q. Will Attorney’s BriefCase customers continue to access their Attorney’s BriefCase content as usual? Or will they have to create a new registration on our website?

A. We will maintain the Attorney’s BriefCase website so current customers can continue to access the content there.

Q. Are there any immediate changes to pricing, contracts, or service terms related to the acquisition?

A. No, there will be no changes as a result of the acquisition.

Q. Will my existing support channels or account team change?

A. No, there will be no changes.
